歌詞のストレートなメッセージが伝わってきて、MV見ても納得できるあたりは訳す側としてはありがたいです。(breaking benjaminと違ってw)
曲調はばりばりrise againstのサウンドなんですけど内容はどこかlinkin park のsharp edgesを思い起こさせるものがありますね。
最初に出てくるsheはtideという無声物をit の代わりにsheで指示しています。ハリケーンに女性の名前をつけるぐらいなので納得できんことはないですね。

Red Cold River (Breaking Benjamin)

Never Again 以来のbreaking benjaminの和訳です。以来ってゆっても２曲目ですけど…
前もそうだったんですが、breaking benjaminの曲は多くのロック同様、歌詞はそれほど難しい単語もなく、テーマもシンプルなので、エミネム先輩みたいな難解さはないのですが、一通り訳してみるとほんの少しだけ違和感を感じるのですが、概ねきちっと訳せるんです。でも、MV見たら全然ちがうんです。ｗ
今回もそうで、最初この歌は戦争の歌だと思っていたのですがｗ、そうだとするとThis love has led me to the end
の意味が分からず、自分の中の攻撃性を好いてしまう、血を欲してしまうというようなことなのかなと思っていたのですが…
MV見たら娘が誘拐された父親の話って…
この歌詞見てこのMVの映像が頭に浮かんだ人いたらすごいっす
そもそも血の川が流れるくらいなら戦争やろと考えるまでもなく決めつけてしまっていました
逆に、一人の女の子の誘拐で川流れるって血じゃなくて涙やなと思ってMV見返したら、最後の最後に赤い涙流してるので納得できました。
この曲は、娘の魂を救うために自分の魂を売った父親のただただ悲しいお話を描いた曲だったようです。
こういうことが実際あったらどうする？と問いかけているのかなと感じました。
本当に難しいですね。
魂売ったら犯人教えてくれるのってなんか中途半端やな～と思って調べてみたら、死神とサタンって別物なのねん。

Gone Away (The Offspring)

この曲は1997年にリリースされたThe Offspringのアルバム Ixnay on the Hombreの七曲目に収録されている曲で、ビルボードのホットメインストリームロックトラックでThe Offspringが初の一位を獲得した曲だそうです。その後、いくつかのバンドにカバーされるのですが、去年5FDPのカバーで再び脚光を浴びました。
もともと、5FDPの曲やったんちゃうんかっていうぐらい彼らにあった曲ですよね
どろどろした、すごく重い感情が伝わってきます
特にblack roseの花言葉は「貴方はあくまで私のもの」「憎しみ、恨み」「決して滅びることのない愛、永遠の愛」
などなのですがどれも重～いですね～～。
永遠の愛だけ言われてもなんも感じないけど、憎しみとかといっしょにあると重って感じますよね～
皆さんも、もし知り合いの人から黒バラをもらうようなことがあれば、なるべく距離を置くことをお勧めします
